Chris Froome & Richie Porte

Chirs Froome of team Sky performed with utter class in his display of professional cycling in the Criterium. He came out victorious with his awe inspiring climb of the Col d’Ospedale he took both single peak achievements by 30 seconds along with the ultimate overall achievements trophy. Richie Porte of Australia also featuring on the Sky squad ended up second place and was not grieved at losing to his teammate. He did a new move of his own 2kms from the peak in order to take a lead and end up second in the Criterium. Later Britain’s Froome revealed that he knew he had it in him to take the lead but an attack on the climb was never on the cards. Richie Porte was well satisfied over his win at the Paris –Nice and his leadership jersey he won at the time test at Porte Vecchio.

At the second stage of the Criterium International which is mainly composed of quick fire races and time trials held over three days Riche Porte emerged victorious. It was the 23rd of March 2013, this Saturday that Riche Porte ended up in first position over Manuele Boaro from Italy by only one second.

In third place was Tejay Van Garderene from America. The last year’s runner up and team member Chris Froome of Britain turned in fourth. Although both players show no signs of rivalry among themselves and pose to be from the very same team, it is with great anticipation that cycling fans worldwide want to see them clash in the Tour de France later this year. For team sky it looks a very promising start in the year with Chris Froome ranking one in the Criterium International and team mate Richie Porte hailing from Australia ranking two in the overall competition.
